Method
Every entry is rated on the same four-level scale, traced to its sources, and written to inform, with every figure cited.
01How we rate
Each entry carries one of four ratings, shown as a signal meter — more filled bars, stronger evidence.
Replicated results in human randomized trials
Some human trials, or consistent animal work with a clear mechanism
Mostly animal or cell studies; few or uncontrolled human data
Little primary evidence yet: mechanism, anecdote or tradition
Pages carried over from the old site were mapped mechanically: “Strong evidence” and “Well-established” became Proven; “Moderate evidence” and “Moderate to strong” became Promising; “Emerging”, “Mixed”, “Contested” and “Variable evidence” became Early; “Limited/Preliminary” or no label became Speculative.
02Editorial policy
Traced. Every claim links to the study, trial registry or regulator document behind it. If we can’t trace it, we say so.
Honestly rated. The same scale for every entry, from proven to speculative. A popular idea with thin evidence is rated as thin.
Reports, doesn’t prescribe. We report the dose ranges that studies and practitioners use, each with its source and the population it applies to, in a labelled “What studies and practitioners report” block. We don’t publish step-by-step regimens, cycling schedules or reconstitution and injection how-tos; for detailed protocols we link out to reputable non-vendor sources under “Further reading”. Educational content, not medical advice.
On the reader’s side. Regulation matters, but we write about it from the point of view of the person trying to get well: what changed, what it means for access, and what the evidence says, rather than restating an agency’s position.
Outbound links. We link generously to clinical-trial records, review papers, practitioner guides and established community wikis. We never link to vendors selling the substance and carry no affiliate links in these lists; outbound protocol links are marked nofollow.
03How we make money
The site earns money through affiliate links. The rules:
- Affiliate links are labeled “Affiliate link”, carry
rel="sponsored nofollow noopener", sit only in the “Where to get it” section below the evidence, and never change a rating. - No links to sellers of gray-market or unapproved research compounds — affiliate or otherwise.
